FYI: This year, Halloween (also known as "Gay Christmas") falls on a Monday.
THEREFORE, you need to submit your request to take off November 1st from work NOW.
Don't ask for October 31st off. That's too suspicious, your boss probably won't approve it, and you won't be going out until after work on the 31st anyway. However, if your Halloween goes well, you may not feel like going into work the next day on November 1st. Get it? Get it??? ;-)
Request the time off today. Thank me later.
That is all.

Lucky bitch... Come Halloween I'll be running that damned marathon in Dublin... I'm so behind in training right now that I'm looking at it as a 26.2 mile hike.
I went to the hardware store last year to buy rope for a noose. The clerk was mortified when I asked if he thought I had enough (I had it around my neck.) He didn't buy that I was going as a "hanging Chad." He just shook his head and told me that life was precious.

So, I'm dressing up this year for the first time in ten years for Halloween ... I wouldn't dare try to pull off the speedos and wings though. I have a sick day, I think I'm coming down with some kind of temporary illness that day ... yes yes I see it in my crystal balls.
